This is the second time I have returned to this hotel because I was very satisfied with the structure and the service. This time I decided to bring my friends too, so they could enjoy the hospitality of this hotel. Located about 5 minutes walk from the Yubatake, and about 15 minutes walk from the bus terminal (on request it is possible to book a free shuttle at specific times). The hotel is large and spacious and has recently done some renovations to improve the lobby area. It has rooms spread over various floors and offers both Japanese and Western style rooms, some even with private onsen. It offers a good, fairly varied breakfast buffet served in a panoramic room. The restaurant on the 5th floor is elegant and refined and dinner is excellent both in the choice of dishes and in the presentation. The onsen on the 4th floor is large and has both indoor and outdoor areas. It is also possible to book massages with truly very good professional masseurs. The staff is kind, helpful and ready to solve any problem. Highly recommended for a relaxing experience and appreciate the comforts of a classy hotel.

This is a really beautiful traditional hotel with tatami rooms and sliding doors. We found the futon bedding really comfortable and we loved the robes provided for us. The rooms we stayed in were huge, much bigger than expected for a single occupant - it felt more like having a little apartment to ourselves, definitely great value for money! The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, and although they didn't have as much English compared to people in Tokyo we were still able to make ourselves understood and really appreciated their efforts. The breakfast was one of my favourite parts of our stay, there is some Western style food, but we enjoyed trying a whole range of dishes that we weren't used to for breakfast. You can see an amazing almost 360 view of the mountains while you eat. The onsen was very clean and comfortable with multiple pools including an outdoor one, and plenty of facilities in the dressing area. We also enjoyed the vending machines of beer and ice cream!

Location is good - close to center of town, shops, bars and restaurants. Google maps will tell you to go down a big hill to get there from the bus terminal but you don’t have too - can be accessed easier. Also the staff were very kind and drove us back to the bus terminal so we didn’t have to lug out heavy bags up hill. Hotel room fit two of us and out suitcases pretty comfy. Is a bit dated in decor but that’s not really a big deal. Has really lovely private onsens for those of us with tattoos, you’re not an allowed to use the public one in the hotel if you’ve got tatttoos. Massage chairs available for all though! lovely after the onsen. Pretty comfy stay, would stay there again.

A very spacious room, I was feeling like in a palace with 3 spacious areas, a balcony, a zen garden inside the room... The breakfast and dinner are great and if you get the best room, you will be able to have it on the 11th floor, which is nice and feels like a real restaurant. The reception is great and you can leave your luggage if you arrive early. The staff is great too, full of kind and nice people. And the private thermal bath is also great. By the way, I was afraid but the futon bed is good enough even if you are used to super soft beds.
